Donn E. Kryder, DVM
Dr. Donn Kryder was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. He graduated from Riley High School before attending Purdue University for undergraduate and veterinary school. He has been practicing veterinary science for four decades. Dr. Kryder got his start in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he practiced for six months. He then spent seven years practicing veterinary medicine in Niles, Michigan, before moving back to Indiana to open Kryder Veterinary Clinic in 1981.
In his spare time, Dr. Kryder is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys fishing, gardening, pond work, and traveling. "Development of our clinic has been a dream since veterinary school. To give clients the best that veterinary medicine and surgery can offer with compassion and dedication. That's my goal every day."
Stephanie R. Harr, DVM
Dr. Stephanie Harr is a native of Jamestown, North Dakota. She graduated from the College of St. Benedict in St. Joseph, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. In 1999, she received her doctorate from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ames, Iowa. Her inspiration for becoming a veterinarian was her general compassion for all living creatures and a drive to help them when they are in need.
Tracy L. Eichenseer, DVM
Dr. Tracy Eichenseer is a native of Waukasha, Wisconsin. She attended the University of Wisconsin for her undergraduate in bacteriology, and then attended the University of Wisconsin for veterinary school, graduating in 2000. She was inspired by her childhood veterinarian, Dr. Arthur Daun, who was a classmate of Dr. Kryder's at Purdue. Dr. Eichenseer has a desire to work with humans and animals to support the pet-owner bond and takes a special interest in preventive medicine and senior pet care. "I chose Kryder Veterinary Clinic because of the quality of medicine, investment in diagnostic tools, and the excellent support staff. There is never a dull moment."
Mariah Covey, DVM
Dr. Mariah Covey is a native of South Bend, Indiana. She grew up knowing she would always be a vet. After graduating from Riley High School, she graduated with a degree from Purdue University in biochemistry, and then completed the Purdue Veterinary School program in 2006. Dr. Covey's interests are pet behavior, exotic pets, and internal medicine.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys scrapbooking, crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and spending time with her family and pets.
Eryn Smith, DVM
Dr. Eryn Smith grew up in Lafayette, Indiana. She attended Purdue University for both her undergrad degree as well as her veterinary degree. In 2011 she received her Bachelor of Animal Science and in 2016 she received her DVM from Purdue's College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Smith has wanted to become a vet since the 3rd grade, but this goal was reinforced in her undergraduate years when she realized her passion for science and medicine. She loves having the opportunity to help people and thier fur babies on a daily basis. She loves dentistry as well as surgery. In her free time she enjoys reading, riding 4 wheelers, and spending time with her Pomeranian, Harley.
