Skin Scrapes, Cytology, and Biopsy

For dogs with dermatological diseases, skin sampling via scraping and cytology are useful tools to diagnose skin infections such as yeast dermatitis or mange. For more in depth cases, actual biopsy samples can be taken and sent to a pathologist for histopathologic examination.
